Housing, Cheshire

This development proposes 15 new dwellings on the edge of the village. Public open space is retained to the east alongside the public right of way. This area introduces a large wildlife pond, native planting, and species-rich grassland, as well as providing access to the new homes.

The landscape strategy integrates the development into its rural setting and creating a sensitive transition between the village and the surrounding countryside. A sensitive approach is taken to the layout and green infrastructure. The existing native hedgerows and hedgerow trees a key elements are retained. Within the development, an avenue of trees along the access road creates a strong landscape framework. Beech hedgerows and planting beds further enhance the streetscape and provide an attractive setting for the homes.

The planning application, including the landscape design and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA), received approval in 2019.
