Community garden, Liverpool

A unique spiritual garden for a religious community to complement the redevelopment of their Convent. The vision looks both to the future, celebrating the international nature of the religious order, whilst still nurturing the older community living in the Convent.

In the garden, organic sweeps, inspired by Celtic patterns, created two separate yet cohesive spaces:

  • A Chapel Garden - an intimate, calm garden space with a Celtic-inspired water feature and soft planting.
  • A central garden area with a lawn and rich colourful planting to celebrate life, complementing a memorial laburnum tree.

Planting was implemented by Urban Landscape Design
